Welcome to India! Upon your arrival at the Delhi Airport, our representative will be waiting to warmly greet you and arrange a seamless transfer to your hotel.
As the capital city of India, Delhi is a striking, modern metropolis with a fascinatingly turbulent past. Throughout history, the city has been repeatedly conquered and destroyed by erstwhile empires, only to spring back to life time and again. Today, Delhi serves as a living history book, narrating tales of the past through its spectacular ruins and monuments. Shaped heavily by the Mughals and later by the British, the city is a captivating labyrinth of ancient streets, architectural marvels, and vibrant marketplaces that will leave a lasting impression on your heart.
Overnight: Delhi
After a delicious breakfast, set out for a comprehensive sightseeing tour of India’s massive capital territory. Your journey begins in the 17th-century neighborhood of Old Delhi. Here, you will see the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort and visit the spectacular Jama Masjid, a sprawling mosque whose courtyard can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers. Dive into the sensory delights of Chandni Chowk, a bustling historic bazaar overflowing with street food, sweet shops, and vibrant spice stalls. Pay your respects at Rajghat, the simple black marble platform marking the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.
Following breakfast, check out of your hotel and enjoy a scenic drive into the western deserts of Rajasthan to the romantic city of Jaipur.
Rajasthan is a realm of resplendent palaces, mighty fortresses, and regal Maharajas. Proudly belonging to the fierce Kshatriya warrior caste, the Rajput princes were formidable foes. However, recognizing the need to protect their wealth and local authority, many allied with the powerful Mughal emperors and, later, the British Raj, allowing them to enjoy immense privilege and prosperity.
The bustling capital of Jaipur takes its name from its venerated founder, Jai Singh II. He was bestowed the title Sawai (meaning "one and a quarter") by the Mughal Emperor, suggesting he was far more valuable than just one man. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. You will quickly notice the city's distinctive terra-cotta coloring, which earned it the famous moniker, the "Pink City."
Overnight: Jaipur
Fuel up with breakfast before heading out on a morning excursion to the classic, romantic Amber Fort. Begun in 1592 by Man Singh I and completed by his descendant Jai Singh I, its forbidding, rugged exterior hides an inner paradise where Mughal and Hindu architectural styles fuse brilliantly.
Return to the city center to explore the City Palace, a sprawling complex that covers one-seventh of the walled city. A delightful blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal design, it houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple, and a fascinating museum. Just next door, step inside the Jantar Mantar, the largest and best-preserved of five astronomical observatories built by Jai Singh II, featuring outsized stone instruments that are still astonishingly accurate today. Don't miss the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jaipur’s most prominent landmark. Built in 1799, this five-story pink sandstone structure features a spectacular facade of 953 latticed niches and windows, designed as a grandstand for royal women to secretly observe street festivities.
The afternoon is yours to relax or explore independently. Jaipur is a shopper's paradise, renowned worldwide for its exquisite gold and silver jewelry, blue pottery, tie-dye textiles, fine silks, and wooden handicrafts.
Overnight: Jaipur
After breakfast, embark on a profound day-trip to the holy city of Pushkar. Set around a serene, sacred lake, Pushkar holds immense spiritual significance as it is home to the only temple in the entire world dedicated to Lord Brahma, the Hindu creator god.
For devout Hindus, a journey to Pushkar is considered the ultimate pilgrimage—one that must be undertaken to attain salvation. Soak in the deeply spiritual atmosphere, wander the ghats, and experience the quiet devotion of this ancient town before returning to Jaipur in the evening.
Overnight: Jaipur
Enjoy breakfast before driving to the illustrious city of Agra. This afternoon is dedicated to discovering one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the magnificent Taj Mahal. Surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created, this breathtaking white-marble mausoleum took 20,000 skilled men over 17 years to build. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his beloved wife, it remains an unparalleled masterpiece of art and architecture.
Next, explore the Agra Fort. Standing majestically along the banks of the Yamuna River, this rusty-red sandstone fortress served as the seat of the great Mughal Empire and offers a fascinating glimpse into the lavish lifestyles of India's ancient rulers.
Overnight: Agra
This morning, transfer to the Agra railway station to board the high-speed Vande Bharat express train to Varanasi, the spiritual heart of India. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
As dusk approaches, prepare for an unforgettable spiritual experience. You will take a serene boat ride on the holy River Ganges to the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat. Here, you will witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony—a mesmerizing ritual of fire, chanting, and music performed daily to honor the sacred river. Afterward, take some time to explore the vibrant and ancient local markets of Varanasi before returning to your hotel.
Overnight: Varanasi
Following breakfast, check out of your hotel and take a short drive to the sacred town of Sarnath. This site holds immense importance for the Buddhist world, as it is the exact place where Lord Buddha delivered his very first sermon after attaining enlightenment, officially beginning the journey of the Dharma.
After exploring the tranquil stupas and ruins of Sarnath, transfer to the railway station to catch your return train to New Delhi. Upon arrival in the capital, you will be escorted to a hotel to wash, change, and refresh yourself. Enjoy a final farewell dinner before our representative transfers you to the international airport for your onward flight, leaving you with a lifetime of cherished memories from incredible India.
